Copy of email blast of 25Sep:
The Association has contracted with V&A Tree Care for the annual tree trimming. This project will begin on October 9, 2019, weather permitting.
V&A Tree Care will be working from 8am – 5pm. During this time, they will be removing large branches, which may cause some debris to fall into patio/balcony areas. While V&A Tree Care will be careful and attempt to keep debris from falling into patio/balcony areas, there is no guarantee that this will not happen. Therefore, it is recommended that you place any valuable, fragile, or other items that you do not wish damaged in your home or under secure cover during this project.
“No Parking” notices will be posted. The crew will need room to complete the work, so please be mindful of all posted notices.

Apricot Entry System
If you live or own at Orangetree Terrace, you should sign up for email blasts. They are not advertising, they are information about our property. Email dhoff@powerstonepm.com and ask to be added to the list. At a minimum, you should get at least the monthly newsletter (October's was sent this week). You'll want to add that email address to your contacts, so you're sure the email blasts don't go to your spam/trash folder.
Here are (most of) the messages I received about the new entry system:
1) Early August we received these letters in the mail, and they were posted in my building by the mailboxes. This photo was taken on 15Aug. The image is not clear enough to read the contents, but the topics are Plumbing/Emergency Contact info, Entry Contact info, and Garage Access changes.
The gist of the Entry system letter was that you needed to email Powerstone (see address above) if you wanted your name on the entry phone directory, how it should be listed, what number it should call (cell phone work with this system), your address and name.
2) 5Sep, email blast. Some of the paragraphs (emphasis mine):
Please note, once the systems are installed and up and running, owners will need to use their keys to enter the building. For security purposes, there will not be a resident code to enter the building. If you do not have a key to the building, please contact Management to request one.
Your guests will enter the building by finding your name in the directory that will ring to your phone and you may grant access by pushing a button on your phone. All phones are different, it may be the number 9 button, or it may be the # sign. If you have not sent in your request to be added to the new system, please do so now.
There will be specific codes made for delivery services; such as3) 23Sep, email blast. Most of the paragraphs:Amazon, UPS and USPS.
The installation of the new Directories at both entrances to the buildings has been completed. We were having some technical difficulties, which caused a delay, but we believe all bugs have been worked out. Fingers crossed! If you notice anything not working correctly, please let me know.
Management sent out several requests for names and phone numbers to enter into the Directory, so that guests may obtain access. If you sent in a form and your name is not showing in the Directory, please let me know. If you did not send in a Request and wish to have your name and phone number added, please complete and send back theattachedform.
As a reminder, in an effort to secure the buildings there will not be a resident code to enter the buildings. All Residents will need to use their key to enter the buildings. Should you need to purchase a key or an additional key, you may do so by putting your request in writing and mailing it in to Management, along with your payment of $25.00 per key. Only Checks or Money Orders are accepted, and both should be made payable to Orange Tree Terrace. If you prefer to come to the office to purchase keys, please contact Connie at ckozlowski@powerstonepm.com, so that she may arrange to have them ready for pick up.[Comment from me: if you happen to be carrying the cell phone that the entry system calls, you don't need a key or a pin to enter the building - you can just buzz yourself in. Not terribly quick access, but access.]
4) 25Sep, email blast. Most paragraphs:
Management has contacted USPS and UPS to give them their new code to enter the buildings.
FedEx will no longer use a code. Residents will need to be home when their packages are delivered to give the driver access to the building, or they will need to arrange a different delivery location; such as their place of employment or a FedEx Store. Residents will need to contact FedEx directly to find the nearest store location.
Amazon uses many different delivery sources; therefore, they are not able to supply the drivers with a code. Residents will need to be home when their packages are delivered to give the driver access to the building, or they will need to arrange a different delivery location; such as their place of employment or they may use an Amazon Hub. Residents will need to contact Amazon directly to find the nearest Amazon Hub location.[Comment from me: if the entry system calls your cell, you can buzz FedEx/OnTrac/Amazon/etc. into the building from wherever you are. However, few drivers use the entry system. I even added it to my Amazon delivery directions, and the next package took 2 attempts to arrive, neither involved the entry system, at least not via MY directory listing.]
Also received on 25Sep: email blast about tree trimming to occur on 9Oct. See separate post.
5) 27Sep email blast. Attached was a copy of how to operate the entry system.
[Comment from me: Strictly for people who can't find the button for scrolling through the directory. If someone you know is like that, you should make a note of your directory code (to the right of your name on the directory), so you can tell them the 4 digits to dial so the system calls you so you can buzz them in.]
